New Cash Management.iQ Capabilities Presented at the Largest Banking Forum in Azerbaijan

2025-12-12

On November 19–20, 2025, the 9th International Banking Forum IBF 2025 was held in the capital of Azerbaijan. This is one of the key events for the region’s banking sector, bringing together leading banks, fintech companies, technology partners, and international speakers. Amid discussions on digital transformation, new payment scenarios, and cybersecurity, participants also expressed strong interest in solutions related to cash operations. Despite the rapid growth of cashless payments, cash remains an important part of the financial ecosystem, and banks still require transparency, automation, and reliable control.

Cash Management.iQ and Cash Processing.iQ at the BS/2 Booth

Traditionally, the BS/2 booth showcased the Cash Management.iQ solution and its newest module, Cash Processing.iQ. Company representatives demonstrated how these solutions help build a full cash-handling cycle in central banks, mints, cash processing centers, and CIT services. Live demonstrations showed how the system works with banknote counting and sorting equipment, as well as how the platform captures and organizes data for all operations.

Particular interest was drawn to the demonstration of the platform integrated with Julong counting and sorting equipment. The booth showed how real counting and sorting operations are instantly displayed in the system, creating a complete picture of what is happening in the cash processing area. This presentation format allowed banking specialists to evaluate not only the individual features of the software but also the advantages of a comprehensive approach where the software platform and hardware operate as a unified solution.

Security, Access Control, and Strong Partner Interest

Security was another major discussion topic at the forum, and the BS/2 exhibition addressed this demand directly. The booth featured the integration of Cash Management.iQ with Sargent and Greenleaf electronic locks, which support one-time access codes. This mechanism enables banks to flexibly manage the access rights of employees involved in cash-in-transit operations, self-service device maintenance, and safe equipment handling. Linking one-time codes to system events provides an additional layer of control, making it clear which employee accessed a particular device or infrastructure element and when.

Kirill Degterenkо, Product Manager of Cash Management.iQ at BS/2, commented:
“We see that banks increasingly expect not only speed but also full manageability and automation in cash handling. It is crucial to understand which banknotes were received, where they came from, who worked with the equipment, and what decisions the system made. Cash Processing.iQ addresses these needs and transforms cash handling into a transparent digital model. Integration with Sargent and Greenleaf locks and one-time codes strengthens security in those parts of the process where the cost of error is especially high.”

During the forum, the BS/2 booth was visited by partners with whom the company already has successfully implemented joint projects. Representatives of Kapital Bank, ABB Bank, and the Central Bank of Azerbaijan expressed interest in further development of current solutions, including the integration of Sargent and Greenleaf electronic locks into their cash-handling infrastructure. The increased attention to these topics from existing clients reflects the growing demand for such services in the market.
