Capabilities of Cash Management.iQ Demonstrated to Sargent and Greenleaf President at BS/2 Headquarters in Vilnius

2024-07-11

More than five years ago, an agreement was signed with Sargent and Greenleaf (S&G), one of the world’s leading manufacturers of electronic locks and security systems, whereby BS/2 began representing S&G solutions in 14 countries, including the Baltic states, Azerbaijan, Armenia, Georgia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Moldova, Mongolia, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, and Uzbekistan. Since then, significant efforts have been made to enhance the security of BS/2 partners’ self-service devices using S&G’s innovative products. These activities were recognized in February 2024 with the award for “Fastest Growing Distributor.”

A major milestone in developing our cooperation and a testament to strengthening our partnership was the first visit of S&G President Brian Leary to the BS/2 headquarters in Vilnius. The delegation included Brian Leary, Sylvano Montano, Director of Sales for Europe, the Middle East, and Africa, and Sergey Ko, Business Development Manager.

At every event where BS/2 participates as an organizer or attendee, the presentation of S&G’s global security and access control solutions plays a crucial role. At the Digital Uzbekistan-2024 International Forum in Tashkent, Sylvano Montano and Sergey Ko showcased S&G products at the BS/2 booth. Prior to this, they served as speakers at the ATM & Cash Solutions seminar series in Tashkent. Throughout 2023, at key banking forums in Uzbekistan, Azerbaijan, and Kazakhstan, the A-Series electronic locks were demonstrated to a wide range of bank and cash-in-transit company representatives.

The joint efforts of BS/2 and S&G aim to enhance the security of self-service devices. By combining experience and innovative technological solutions, we create products that provide reliable protection for financial institutions against various threats and streamline operational processes in the banking sector. BS/2 is actively working on integrating S&G solutions into the cash management processes. In 2020, the A-Series one-time code electronic locks were integrated with the Cash Management.iQ software solution. This integration synchronizes S&G’s software solutions for assigning one-time passwords with the cash collection order process implemented in the CIT.iQ module. The unique one-time code created during the cash replenishment request is immediately included in the cash-in-transit service route sheet, further automating task assignments for cash-in-transit services and optimizing the cash supply for self-service devices.

Kirill Degtyarenko, Product Manager of Cash Management.iQ:

“The integration of Cash Management.iQ and A-Series solutions simplifies the cash collection assignment process and optimizes communication between the operator and cash-in-transit personnel. Banks benefit from reduced cash collection costs and achieve a higher level of security, regardless of whether the cash collection service is in-house or outsourced.”

Sargent and Greenleaf have been manufacturing safe locks for over 160 years. Starting as a small private company in the 1850s in Rochester, USA, S&G has grown into one of the largest players in the financial institution property security market. The European division of S&G opened in 1977, and in 1994, the company expanded its activities by launching a line of electronic locks.
